NC member Merle Watts started a Yahoo Group for the NC Retreads® at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ncretreads/. You will have to sign up with a Yahoo ID if you don’t have one
already. Hopefully this will help keep channels and communications open among our group and expose us to other riders and
possible new members as well. It may even help to bring in some of the former
NC Retreads® as well. Our Mid-South Retreads® are more than welcome to join this
Yahoo Group as well; granted it is NC related for the most part – or start your own state Retreads® Yahoo group. Have Fun Y’all!

This calendar of of events will include information
about our weekly "Bike Nights" across the state. You will need to scroll down to view the NC Retreads® info. Cruising Calendar links to motorcycle enthusiasts magazines like Full
Throttle Magazine and others can be found at the end of this list.
Here we'll list events and activities scheduled for the next couple of
months. We'll update this page frequently, so check back often to stay up to date. Notice that ALL Retread
® "Get Together" dates are tentative and subject to change. Some dates may be changed for the benefit of the group.
Come back often to verify dates.
Please remember that you do not have to be a member to participate in
our rides, or "Get Together's". Please come out, join the fun and get to know us.
All NC Retreads® scheduled events are always non-alcoholic events for your safety and ours. You do not
have to be a member to attend, just make sure to RSVP to Papa Jim or Mama Sue so we know to expect you. Those under
40 and non-members and families are welcome to attend any of our NC Retreads®
scheduled events .

Weekly MEETINGS and/or "BIKE NIGHTS"
NC Retreads® Area Groups We have riders that are interested in forming up local rides and meetings similar to those
held by the Lexington Area Retreads® Tuesday Night Bike Night. Please contact
the following people if you want to join in local rides and meetings with them. Please
contact them to see what they have in mind or for the latest update in their area, or maybe you could provide some suggestions
to them as well. I know they would appreciate the help and/or your suggestion.
The following Color Code describes
the different meetings so that you will know if it is an Area or Statewide function; we hope you will attend the listed
event regardless of what area the function is in. The goal of area functions
is not to isolate area Retreads® from each but to offer additional functions for members to attend in between statewide Get-Together’s.
· North Carolina Retreads® Statewide Functions will be highlighted in RED
and all members are asked
to attend if at all possible; such as NC Retreads®.
· Burlington Bunch Retreads®, Meet on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM at Carver’s on Elm, 106 W Elm

Papa Jim and Mama Sue used to ride with Kent (owner) years ago in another organization. We will be there about 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

· Every Tuesday RDU/RTP Area Retreads® We always meet at 6 PM at the Sheetz Gas
Station, corner of Alexander and Miami Blvd, in Raleigh for a short ride somewhere to eat and jaw the fat so to speak.
You’re welcome to join us and get acquainted anytime you’re up this way. Our Tuesday ride location changes every
week. Our out ride is within a 5-15 mile radius (usually) to a place to eat dinner.

Night Dinner Ride from Knight’s
Cycle, Clemmons NC Lexington Area Retreads®
and other organizations or individuals are invited to meet at the motorcycle repair
shop of Tex Knight, member of the Davidson Co CBA/ABATE of NC and a Lexington Area Retreads® member. Tex and the riders will leave from the shop shortly
after closing time (6:00 PM); kick stands up at 6:15 PM for a scenic ride to a mystery dinner destination. Tex
said to call the shop at (336) 764-4600 to
let him know to look for you and/or to find out if they plan to attend on that particular evening. Knight’s Cycle is located at 8527-C North NC Hwy 150, Clemmons NC
27012 (approximately
3 miles south of Hickory Tree Rd). The store hours are Tue - Fri: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sat: 9:00 AM – 3:00

ride on a regular basis due to health issues. Please meet and ride just like he is there with you.... Papa
Jim has set up a Coffee Cruisers Saturday locally in Lexington NC on the 1st Saturday in each month at Smiley’s
BBQ, located at 917 Winston Rd in Lexington NC 27295. The restaurant phone number is (336) 248-4528. Meet for breakfast or just coffee at 8:00 AM. Drop a coffee
stop destination in the cup to select the next stop. Ride at 9:00 AM time and

· June 28th NC Retreads® “Get-Together and Tire
Kickin’ Breakfast at Hillbilly Hideaway and Ride,” Walnut Cove NC (Statewide Event)
Meet at 9:00 AM for a family style breakfast in this old log cabin restaurant stuck back up in the country located at 4365
Pine Hall Rd, Walnut Cove NC 27052-6102; (336) 591-4861. This has been an old
NC Retreads® favorite from year’s past. Food is brought out to your tables
in bowls and you pass them around the table like you did when you were a kid at Granny’s. The food here is brought to
you just as long as you can eat it – non-stop till you burst! Come sign
the wall – Granny ain’t there to smack ya! The restaurant is located
on Pine
Hall Rd. off of NC Hwy 65 just outside of Walnut Cove. It’s
a little hard to find if you’re not careful; so please keep my cell phone number with you [(336) 248-7880] or contact
the restaurant above. Mama Sue and I will leave the
Exprezit Citgo gas station at 7:45 AM to ride through the country to Hillbilly Hideaway if you care to join us.

Directions – Eastbound: Take I-40 Business East to US 158
North just outside of Winston-Salem. Follow US 158 East to Stokesdale (approximately 17 miles). Turn
left at the junction of US 158 East and NC Hwy 65 (stoplight). Follow NC Hwy
65 West approximately 6-1/2 miles. Turn right onto Pine Hall Rd. The restaurant is approximately 1.8 miles on the right.
Directions – Westbound: Take I-40 Business West to NC Hwy 68 North just outside of Greensboro. Follow NC Hwy 68 North to Stokesdale
(approximately 14 miles). Turn left at the junction of US 158 West and NC Hwy
68 North (stoplight). Follow US 158 West to the junction of NC Hwy 65 West approximately
1 mile (stoplight). Continue on through the light on NC Hwy 65 for approximately
6-1/2 miles. Turn right onto Pine
Hall Rd. The restaurant is approximately 1.8 miles on the right.

7th His Laboring Few Biker Ministry Family Campout, Denton Farm Park, Denton NC Singing, preaching, Youth Ministries, Children’s Ministries, bike show, bike games, and
vendors. Free food, camping and Jesus all weekend; raffles include a V-Thunder
motorcycle and a mini-chopper on Saturday. We hope your group, club, ministry; chapter or family will come out and enjoy all

- 17th Wilmington NC Chapter Retreads® Fall Colors Bike Trip (Statewide Event) The Wilmington
Chapter Retreads® are planning a Fall Colors Bike Trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in October
2009. We will be leaving Wilmington for the trip over early on the morning of the 13th
and returning to Wilmington on the 17th.
I have already reserved 4 semi-private rooms at the “Iron Horse Lodge” in Stecoah
NC (just east of the “Tail of the Dragon”). Anyone else that is interested
can e-mail me for more info and contacts for reservations at the Iron Horse Lodge and other accommodations at eric.letendre@yahoo.com or call (910) 264-9641(cell). The gentleman at the Iron horse motorcycle lodge
says there are still plenty of semi-private and private rooms available to reserve but, don’t wait till after New Year
to call because they go real fast after New Year. They do need a credit card to reserve but, they just take the number down
(they DO NOT charge it till check in).
This is not going to be a “Ride hard and see all you can ride”.
It will be a scenic ride with plenty of stops at the observation areas, eating and maybe some souvenir shopping. Thanks again
